Ben Foakes has a massive task on hand as he replaces Jos Buttler behind the stumps for the remaining three Tests against India. Having featured in the opening Test, Buttler has returned back home with England’s rotation policy very much in place. Despite making a century on debut in November 2018, Foakes last played a Test in early 2019. As he now returns to the Test fold, Foakes knows Buttler remains the first choice behind the stumps.

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has opined that he does not see England winning any of the four Tests in the upcoming Test series. According to Gambhir, England do not have the spin attack to trouble India. Moeen Ali, Dom Bess and Jack Leach are the three spinners for the visitors in the Test series. Ali has 181 wickets to his name, Bess 31 and Leach 44.

England all-rounder Moeen Ali has admitted that getting Indian captain Virat Kohli out will be among the major challenges for them in the Test series against India that will get underway soon. Kohli is returning from his paternity leave, having missed three of the four Tests Down Under.
